Digesting Chaos

"Digesting Chaos" is an immersive, edible art installation that explores the interplay between internal and external disorder, using the city of Beirut as both inspiration and metaphor. Through food, mixed media, and interactive elements, the work invites participants to confront the chaos within and around them.

Visitors moved through a layered space reaching a chocolate wall. There, they were invited to leave behind something they could not digest, and in turn eat a piece of the wall — digesting on behalf of another citizen.

A collective digestion unfolds, blurring the line between self and city. Beirut flaunts what we try to hide; and in that shared act, we help each other carry, process, and transform what is too heavy to hold alone.
