More Than Just an Emotion
More Than Just an Emotion is a multisensory dining experience that reimagines love beyond the conventions of Valentine's Day. The project asks a speculative question: what if love functioned as a currency? What forms of exchange, relationships, and ways of living might emerge if care held the same value as wealth?
The dinner proposed a temporary world governed by different principles, where generosity, reciprocity, and interdependence became measures of value. Drawing inspiration from the collaborative systems found in nature, the experience imagined love not simply as an emotion, but as an infrastructure through which communities might flourish.
The salad course was the highlight of the dinner, embodying this proposition through a shared edible garden placed at the center of the table. Guests were served a simple salad and invited to harvest their own selection of vegetables, flowers, and toppings, composing each plate according to their own desires. Inspired by the generosity of nature, the installation framed abundance as something to be shared rather than possessed.
